KSV1870 ESG Solutions
Bring order to the ESG data chaos and comply with international regulations.
When choosing a business partner, ESG information plays a vital role alongside credit standing and cyber risk. The hard part about ESG: documenting and providing high-quality data – which presents a challenge to SMEs and large corporations alike.
KSV1870 and its partner SDI tackle exactly this issue together. We organise ESG data into a unified structure, enabling corporate clients and banks to carry out ESG compliance checks professionally and quickly.
KSV1870 ESG Profile for SMEs
With the KSV1870 ESG Profile, we provide SMEs with practical support when it comes to collecting their ESG data. This structured ESG Profile can then be used as a basis for requests from banks and corporate clients, as well as for proactive communication.
KSV1870 ESG Monitor for banks and corporate clients
The KSV1870 ESG Monitor helps banks and corporate clients collect relevant ESG data from their suppliers, partners, and customers through a standardised framework and verify their compliance with ESG requirements.
KSV1870 ESG Profile
ESG is becoming the ticket to play
ESG can seem vast and abstract – until the first enquiry arrives from a bank, a corporate client, or through a tender process. At that point, it is not theory that matters, but the ability to deliver information quickly, consistently, and verifiably. Which is where KSV1870 and its partner SDI come in: Our service allows you to easily capture your ESG data in an actionable format and organise it into a clear structure. This ensures your ESG information is no longer scattered across emails, Excel sheets, and PDFs, but is instantly accessible as a profile.
Your benefits
- ESG Profile as a basis for reporting, tenders, financing, or corporate client enquiries
- Documentation based on the EU’s VSME standard for SMEs
- Simplified data collection using the “if applicable” principle
- Integrated CO2 calculator for estimating emissions
- ESG Badge for promotional purposes
Easy data collection with data check
ESG data collection can actually be easy. Our actionable questionnaire guides you through the data collection process step by step. Every question includes helpful explanatory notes, and thanks to the "if applicable" principle, irrelevant sections can be skipped. Upon completion, our partner, SDI, will check the information for plausibility and will alert you to any potential discrepancies.
Questions about the ESG Profile
For companies aiming to deliver structured ESG information in alignment with current EU standards – particularly in light of the increasing demand from banks, corporate clients, or supply chain partners.
Many companies only take action once the first request is on the table. With our solution, you establish a solid foundation that is instantly accessible whenever needed.
A downloadable data sheet is integrated into the questionnaire, listing all the relevant information and required data. This facilitates efficient data collection before you even begin answering any questions.
Provided that all the necessary documents and data are at hand and depending on how relevant the questions are to your company, completion takes approximately 2–3 hours.
Just like a balance sheet, your data should be updated annually.
The questionnaire maps data points from the VSME Basic Module. The VSME is the ESG reporting standard recommended by the European Union for small and medium-sized enterprises.
If you have already collected data points in the past, you can use them as supporting documentation in the questionnaire.
Like a balance sheet, the ESG Profile applies to the previous financial year. If you collect the data in 2026, that data applies to the financial year 2025. We recommend updating the ESG Profile and the data on an annual basis.
Yes, of course you can deactivate renewal. Your ESG Profile will remain available until the end of the 12-month term, and you are permitted to use the ESG badge in your communication until that deadline expires.
After the 12 months and a grace period of a maximum of 3 months, the link to your ESG Profile will expire and the right to use the ESG badge will lapse.
Because outdated ESG information in requests or tenders can quickly lead to further inquiries or misunderstandings. It would be best if you updated your ESG Profile annually, and we will perform a new data check with every update.
No, the annual refresh is designed as an update: baseline data from the previous year can be carried over, saving time and ensuring that your profile remains consistent. At the same time, metrics that change every year (such as heating utility data or water usage) must be re-entered.
KSV1870 ESG Monitor
ESG rarely fails due to strategy – it mostly fails due to the data.
When ESG information from your portfolio and supply chain arrives as a patchwork of PDFs, Excel sheets, and email snippets, you are not in control – you are simply collecting data. And that is exactly the problem: Without standards, verifiability, and comparability, ESG becomes a never-ending project rather than a decision-making tool. KSV1870 and its partner SDI bring order to this data chaos. We organise ESG information into a standardised framework, enabling cross-partner collaboration and providing the basis for monitoring, reporting, and compliance processes. In short: less chasing, more control.
